a pattern has developed somewhat.
anytime Art takes a shower while I’m over, i watch Adventure Time for the duration of the shower.
sometimes i can get through about 3 episodes..
so i asked my mother if she and my step dad would like to join me for free pancakes:
mom: oh! i forgot that was today. darn, i just put dinner in the oven.
me: ok well i'll come over after to pick up mail.
mom: you can eat with us; that's always free.
me: are you putting pancakes into the oven?
mom: no...
me: well then i have a date with pancakes to keep, alone.

lady date night was a success.
