fun facts about hair.

+ you colour/color your hair. (darker)
+ you lift your hair. (lighter) this means you never “dye your hair blonde” unless you mean a darker shade than currently on your head.
+ you never “dye” your hair with “dye.” your hair is not some sort of tshirt. hair colour/color is used when colouring or lifting your hair colour/color.
+ your “roots” are actually “newgrowth.” the root of your hair is in your scalp and never visible unless pulled out.. crazy, i know.
+ slightly less important, but your “bangs” are actually your “fringe.” this is more of a technical term and is let slide. but in the salon, hair school, and in every certification test- this is the fringe..

i know this will fall on deaf ears. but it irks me.
i guess it comes from years of having this stuff drilled into my brain.

every time i read one of you guys saying, “should i dye my hair (some shit)?”
part of me dies a little on the inside.
